AVZ, a Uae-based sustainability innovation company, recently unveiled its Greentrans solar bus system, that converts the heavy vehicles into energy harvesting platforms. By harnessing rooftop space, it generates renewable power that they use for onboard air conditioning. It reduces carbon emissions and improves fuel economy, and reinforces UAE’S leadership in sustainable transport and green innovation. Founded by entrepreneur Vipen Ruhela and interdisciplinary scientist Dr Zoltan Derzsi, the company focuses on developing solutions that are safe, affordable and well adapted to the scorching climate of the Emirates. Their system is a first step and a powerful demonstration of their philosophy of achieving energy independence, unlocking new frontiers in low-emission public transport.

“The Greentrans solar bus system is not only innovative, but also scientifically sound,” said Dr Derzsi. “Despite being scorched in the heat, flooded in the rain, we already saved tonnes of carbon dioxide by not burning thousands of litres of fuel”. “I do not chase the cheapest option. I seek quality. AVZ is not like any of my companies. If something doesn’t exist, we make it ourselves,” said Ruhela, AVZ’S CEO.
